At CETEC PVT LTD, we’re committed to environmental sustainability and innovation. One of our latest projects involves rehabilitating the wastewater treatment plant at the DIMO Virgin Oil International (Pvt) Ltd, a leader in producing high-quality desiccated coconut (DC) products.

Addressing a Critical Need

The DIMO Virgin Oil International (Pvt) Ltd factory processes approximately 20,000 coconuts daily, generating around 20,000 liters of wastewater. This wastewater, rich in organic matter, oils, and dissolved solids, poses significant environmental risks if not properly treated. Historically, untreated wastewater from coconut processing has led to contamination of local water bodies and groundwater, affecting both the ecosystem and the community.

Advanced Treatment Systems

To tackle these challenges, we’ve proposed a comprehensive treatment system that includes several state-of-the-art components:

Modified Oil Separator: Enhances the separation of oils and suspended solids from the wastewater using fine bubble aeration technology, which optimizes oil removal and minimizes environmental impact.
Anaerobic Reactor: Employs Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) technology to break down organic materials in the absence of oxygen, producing biogas as a byproduct, which can be used as a renewable energy source.
Activated Sludge System: Utilizes a multi-chamber reactor with highly concentrated microorganisms to degrade organic pollutants and remove nutrients from the wastewater.
Sand and GAC Filtration: Ensures the removal of remaining suspended particles and dissolved organic compounds, delivering treated water that meets national environmental standards for surface water discharge.
